2017 LIMITED Cabernets Canadian Oak
In Stock
While winemaker Marc Bradshaw is a huge fan of Canadian Oak barrels, he readily admits it took several vintages to figure out how to best utilize the qualities the wood can impart to wine. The 2017 vintage is the second LIMITED Cabernets Canadian Oak that Marc has crafted and is a three barrel blend - two barrels Cabernet Sauvignon and one barrel Cabernet Franc. The 2016 vintage was a two barrel blend of 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

Tasting Notes
The 2017 LIMITED Cabernets Canadian Oak has lovely aromas and flavours of dark fruit, a touch of acidity, smooth tannins, and great texture and mouthfeel. It will continue to age gracefully for years to come.
Winemaker Notes
We let the Home Farm fruit hang on the vines as long as possible, and it came in exceptionally ripe at 25.7°Brix. The wine was fermented in open barrels to maximize extraction and concentration.
